The day Floyd Mayweather Jr is expected to step into the ring at the MGM Grand Garden arena is Las Vegas Nevada. That much the world knows.
What we don’t know is who. After the last few years of both Mayweather and Pacquiao never really directly calling one another out, Mayweather finally called out Manny directly. Mayweather wrote on twitter for Pacquiao to “step up” and face him on May 5th.
His twitter proclamation set the boxing world abuzz, sending Manny Pacquaio even as a trending topic. While Top Rank and Pacquiaos advisors have continued to state that May 5th and MGM Grand is unrealistic due to time and size of the venue, fans are still hopeful.
Mayweather has gone a step further in the last 48 hours. Mayweather has contacted Pacquiao personally in what we all hope was an attempt to convince Pacquiao to face him May 5th. While Mayweather’s advisor Leonard Ellerbe has confirmed that Mayweather has spoken to the Filipino champion no one is saying what was said.
And now, the fight feels like it may actually have some legs.
After two plus years of fans asking and hoping that the two best fighters in the world finally face one another. The boxing world may finally get a fight they have asked for. While there are no guarantees in sports and especially in boxing, for the moment the biggest fight for this era may be 105 days away.
The next few weeks the boxing world will hold its breath. Eagerly waiting to hear what may be.

Mayweather wanted bigger percentage and Manny Pacquaio wants 50/50 purse! Floyd did not agree with 50/50%. Guess what!???!!! same old story, these two won’t agree! It’s OFF again! This is just ridiculous!
