LeHoullier talking smack on Chavez before fight

20090911chavez007Far from the combat to combat pressure on his shoulders, Julio César Chávez Jr., looked relaxed and in excellent physical shape for his upcoming bout against Jason LeHoullier on Saturday in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico. Chavez (39-0-1, 29 KOs) and LeHoullier (21-1-1, 8 KOs) headline the billboard which is presented by Top Rank, Zanfer Promotions and in coordination with the Government of the State of Nayarit, this function will be transmitted by TV Azteca in Mexico and pay-per-view in the United States. Chavez Jr looks thin and in good spirits, he brought his team to the press conference held at the former Palace Hotel Tepic. “I am very happy to be here, and I apologize to all of my fans in Nayarit for the delay of my fight that was going to be last July 25th. A rib injury prevented me from fighting on that date, but now I am healthy and staying in 100% shape, no excuses for anything, I’m ready for Saturday,” said the young native of Culiacan, Sinaloa.

“I don’t know much about LeHolllier, but I have noticed that he is a good fighter, fast and brave. I can truly say that the winner of this fight is the public because they are going to see a great show! I am prepared and I’m going to give it my best,” the pugilist abounded.

Chavez Jr also said they he made the best preparation of his career and thanked his uncle, Rodolfo Chavez, Miguel Molleda, Romulo Quirarte and his entire team that was in the seven weeks of concentration in Guadalajara.

He insisted that he is ready to prove his promoters to give him a shot at the world title after falling recently appeared in the third place of the weights of the WBC super welterweight title.

Jason LeHoullier appeared unafraid to confront Chavez Jr.

“I’m prepared as always! I’m in excellent shape and this is a great opportunity for my career. Chavez Jr does not scare me at all. He only has the name and is taking advantage of that. He is a regular fighter and I’ll put him in his place,” said LeHoullier.

luisLeHoullier dismissed Chavez’ boxing quality and said that Junior does not have a warrior spirit, so he will never become world champion.

“Chavez Jr would never be able to become a world champion. He doesn’t have the warrior spirit his dad had and I will discover the true boxing level. I respect him because he is a fighter, like me, but Saturday I will leave as the winner. I do not like to predict whether it will be a decision or a knock out. My fists will speak for themselves and come out victorious,” he added with a tone of pride.
