Former world welterweight champion Kermit “Killer” Cintrón (32-2-1, 28 KOs) made his debut in Puerto Rico a spectacular one by stopping Juliano Ramos (15-3, 12 KOs) of Brazil by fifth round TKO on Saturday night at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.. by PR Best Boxing Promotions (Ivan & Peter Rivera) and DiBella Entertainment. Cintron studied Ramos for rounds one and two but opened up in rounds three and four. In the 4th round Cintron had Ramos reeling from power right hook that had Ramos in bad shape. Ramos’ corner didn’t allow him to come out for round five.

In the semi-main event Jonathan Oquendo (17-2, 10 KOs) of Puerto Rico stopped Mexican veteran Juan José Beltrán with a solid body shot. The ending came at 1:34 of the second round with the corner stopping the fight after the body shot was delivered. Oquendo had hurt Beltrán with a body shot in round 1 as well.

PR Best Boxing prospect José “Chelo” González (8-0, 5 KOs) remained in unbeaten stopping Javier García (6-3-1, 2 KOs) with a barrage of punches where the referee Roberto Ramírez stopped the bout at 2:49 or the second round.

Former Puerto Rico Olympian heavyweight Víctor Bisbal (15-1, 11 KOs) defeated fellow Puerto Rican Rubén Rivera by unanimous decision by the scores of 40-36, 40-36 and 39-37.
