According to a very inside source in the know, the real reason that the Son of a Legend Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. 39-0-1, 29KOs pulled out of his scheduled bout this weekend versus Jason LeHoullier (21-1, 8 KO’s) in Nuervo Vallarta, MX, was not because of an injury but because of his weight.
Chavez Jr. is approximately fifteen pounds over the contracted weight one week from the fight and his father, Julio Cesar Chavez, forbade his from stepping into the ring. Also adding to the decision to no have Chavez Jr. fight is the unsuspected collapse of Marco “Texano” Nazareth, who fought Omar Chavez this past weekend. Omar Chavez is the younger fighting son of Chavez.
Nazareth is still in critical condition and was operated for a second time this morning to alleviate a cerebral hemorrhage.
