This weekend Golden Boy Promotions officially announced that Juan Manuel Marquez will meet interim champion, Michael Katsidis, live on HBO, on Saturday, November 27th. It was also announce that WBA super bantamweight champion Celestino “Pelenchin” Caballero, “Pelenchin” will be facing Jason Litzau (27-2, 21 KOs) as the co-main event for the Marquez-Katsidis.
Golden Boy Promotions will hold a press conference tomorrow, September 21 at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, CA to announce a ten round junior lightweight clash between NABO titleholder Eloy Perez (18-0-2, 5 KOs) and Dominic Salcido (18-2, 9 KOs) on October 15. Also scheduled to appear on the card are rising junior welterweight prospect Frankie Gomez (6-0, 6 KOs) and featherweight prospect Randy Caballero (4-0, 4 KOs). The card will be televised on Telefutura.
