Juan Manuel Marquez joins the list of fighters who will give up and coming boxers employment.

The Mexico City native disclosed the news at a public workout in his hometown where he sparred for four rounds as well as work the heavy and speed bag.  Marquez is preparing himself for his clash against Juan Diaz on the 28th of this month in Houston, TX.

Marquez was also informed that his upcoming but against Diaz will be for the now vacant 135 lbs. WBA and WBO title.

“There is a huge posibility that those titles will be disputed,” Eric Gomez of Golden Boy Promotions stated.

Because of his responsibilities inside the ring, Marquez stated “as of now there is people who are in charge of Marquez Boxing Promotions and of my altruistic foundation, Juan Manuel Marquez.  I must dedicate myself to the gym.”

Since he is a fighter himself, he knows what a fighter expects to reach the top “that is why I will support the fighters since the beginning of their careers.  The ones that want to be world champions will have our support.”

“My first promotion was in Mexicali, it was a co-promotion with Golden Boy Promotions and Producciones Maldonado,” Marquez said between work out rounds.
