Former junior lightweight world champion Jorge Rodrigo “La Hiena” Barrios (47-4-1, 34 KOs) returns in his native Argentina on August 8th to face Moises Castro (27-11-4, 13 KOs) in a 12 round WBO Latino lightweight title bout at the Polideportivo Carlos Cerutti Stadium in Cordoba. It will be Barrios’ first fight since a nasty cut forced a TKO loss in his bout against Rocky Juarez in September 2008. An April return was scrapped when “La Hiena” was forced to withdraw from a bout against Carlos “Famous” Hernandez due to a right temporal bone fracture above the temple which he suffered while training. In the co-featured bout, Israel “Cachito” Perez (22-2, 13 KOs) will look to extend his 13-fight winning streak in a 10 round lightweight bout against Jhonny Antequera (11-5, 9 KOs). The card is presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Arano Box and will air on HBO Plus in Latin America.
