It’s been a slow month for boxing, there hasn’t been any good fights worth reporting. The only good news I have heard was from Gabriel Montoya of MaxBoxing that Alfredo Angulowas able to reunite with his daughter and mother as he is a free man now. He was released from an ICE detention center
and is now able to get a working visa and plans to resume his career in the U.S. He also plans on leaving Clemente Medina, his former trainer, is it possible he might work with Freddie Roach?
Floyd Mayweather who was also recently released from county jail is back doing what he does best, wasting money as he should. Top Rank promoter Bob Arum insists that Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather will happen April of 2013. But don’t hold your breath.
September is looking optimistic. Can’t wait for Martinez-Chavez, that’s a fight I won’t miss. We also have Antonio DeMarco vs. John Molina, Saul “Canelo” Alvarez vs. Josesito Lopez, Andre Ward vs. Chad Dawson just to name a few.
