Bernard Hopkins stated yesterday that a rematch with Felix “Tito”
Trinidad would be a great fight but that it would end just like the first, with a KO of Trinidad.
“If Don King can put the fight on you will see another historic performance by me when I knock out Tito once again,”Trinidad revealed.
According to Hopkins, King is in talks with Golden Boy Promotions trying to assess of Hopkins’ demands before getting together with Trinidad Sr,, father of the three time world champion, and reach a satisfactory agreement.
“He is talking to Golden Boy trying to reach an agreement and then he will meet with Don Felix to discuss the preliminary details,” Juan Miguel Gonzalez, assistant to Don King, stated.
Hopkins mentioned that he is pondering whether to fight since he would have to leave his wife and daughters for more than six months.
