Newly elected Congressman Manny Pacquiao was sworn into office on Monday at the Sarangani Provincial Capitol grounds yesterday (Sunday in the U.S.) Pacman switched political party affiliations, moving from the Nacionalista Party to the Liberal Party.
On Friday he completed a 10-day course required of incoming legislators called Development Legislation and Governance at the Development Academy of the Philippines. At age 14 Manny Pacquiao dropped out of school to sell donuts and newspapers on the streets to earn money for his impoverished family. Now he’s the one feeding the needy and providing them with shelter for the homeless.
Its no question his extraordinarily generous man and was one of the world’s 100 most influential people by Time magazine. It’s why he’s become a national icon and one of the most significant figures in the history of the Philippine Islands and now he has taken the next step toward providing a better life for the indigent people of his country by winning a political office.
Pacquiao is expected to return to the ring in November whether it is against Mayweather, Antonio Margarito, Miguel Cotto or someone else, he’s clearly established himself as one of the greatest fighters who has ever lived.
Go Congressman Manny Pacquiao!
Good luck to him.I hope he works hard for his people.
Two thumbs up for the #1 P4P King! 😉
