One of the hottest new arrivals at BoxingDepot.com is the Promex Professional Speed Bag. Promex has a solid reputation in the speed bag world and is known as an affordable upgrade to more typical bags.

Promex Pro Speed BagPromex utilizes a color code system to identify the different sizes of their products. The small (6×9) and medium (7×10) come in red and black respectively, but their most well known piece is the 5×8 yellow bag. When inflated properly the size is quite similar in height to the 4×6 Everlast Pro, although a little wider.

The “Gold Bag” has been put to the test by a handful of online reviewers, some of which you can find at the following links:

The springback is not particularly dense but is extremely reliable. The natural width of the bag makes it a good choice for baggers who want to try an extra small style but aren’t quite used to the tempo and strike zones yet.

One of the most popular aspects of the Promex is it’s durability. Many users have found it outlasting their other brands with only a minimum amount of maintenance. The bag itself is constructed out of fine goatskin leather and the seams are triple stitched and fully welted. Even after it starts to show wear and tear it resists busting.

The price is higher than units you might pick up at Walmart or Dicks, but with that comes added quality and longevity. While the Promex doesn’t play in the same backyard as expensive brands like Cleto Reyes, it is a perfect middle ground for baggers looking to get serious.
