TO FEATURE TOP LOS ANGELES-AREA TALENT
On Wednesday, March 17, Irish eyes will be smiling while the fists are flying, as Golden Boy Promotions and AEG in association with Fight Night Club celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a free boxing event at Nokia Plaza L.A. LIVE.. In action on the four-bout “St. Patrick’s Fight Night Club Special at L.A. LIVE” card will be four professional debuts of top prospects from the Southern California area, including junior middleweight Bobby Reyes of Valencia, L.A. super featherweight Jesus Rodrigues, Glendale featherweight Art Martirosyan Los Angeles junior welterweight Oscar Andrade.
But that’s not all… Boxing legend Oscar de la Hoya will be in attendance, along with members of the Golden Boy Promotions fighter roster to meet and greet fans as a DJ plays the hottest tunes. There will also be giveaways and raffles for those in attendance on this special mid-week night of boxing along with special, limited-edition merchandise and ticket booths for those wishing to pick up tickets to Golden Boy Promotions and AEG’s hit “Fight Night Club” series. As a special St. Patrick’s Day-only promotion, anyone buying two tickets to a future “Fight Night Club” event will receive a $25 game card from the ESPN Zone at L.A. LIVE.
In the ring, debuting welterweight Bobby Reyes of Valencia, California will take on Alfredo Rivera (0-5)of Los Angeles, California, while unbeaten 122-pounder Juan Sandoval (1-0, 1 KO) of San Bernardino, California will welcome LA’s own Jesus Rodrigues to the pro ranks and junior welterweight Oscar Andrade of Los Angeles will face Portland, Oregon’s Nichoulas Briannes (1-4). Also featured on the show will be the professional debut of Glendale, California’s featherweight Art Martirosyan against an opponent to be determined.
The “St. Patrick’s Fight Night Club Special at L.A. LIVE” is a free event for all fans. All bouts are scheduled for four rounds. The first bell rings at 7:30pm, but be sure to arrive by 6:30 pm to enjoy the festivities and great atmosphere including the Budweiser Beer Garden, good food and the chance to meet the Fight Night Girls.
