Floyd Mayweather Felony ChargesFloyd Mayweather Jr. plead guilty to reduced misdemeanor charges in a plea deal resolving felony allegations he battered his ex-girlfriend, court officials said yesterday in Las Vegas. Mayweather, 34, will face $3,000 in fines.

The deal includes an agreement for Mayweather to plead no contest next week to misdemeanor battery and pay a $1,000 fine for poking a 21-year-old homeowner association security guard in the face during a November 2010 argument about parking tickets on vehicles outside the boxer’s home.

Mayweather had been facing an evidence hearing today and a decision by Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melissa Saragosa whether to send him to trial on felony grand larceny, coercion, and robbery charges, and misdemeanor domestic battery and harassment counts.

He could have faced 34 years in state prison if convicted of all charges.

  1. Personally I dont care about his problems, he brought them on himself. I care about him acting like a real champion. If he’s going to continue to take up space in the fight game than take on the best or just retire. I don’t care to hear interviews cuz he never says anything worth hearing, rumors of who he “might” fight are also pointless untill he signs a contract. We’ve been listening to rumors of him fighting the elites of the sport for years (IT NEVER HAPPENS). If he’s not scared of losing that zero than why does it take 3 or 4 years to make a fight with a guy thats smaller than him or any other elite fighter, not that I care about him fighting Pacman anymore anyway. If your going to take up space Floyd do us all a favor stay active, stay relavent, fight the best, or go away. Noone cares about Floyds B/S court problems, his drug test B/S, his house, cars, money, father, uncle, or his bitch. FIGHT!!!!! FLOYD OR F–K OFF!!!

  2. Martinez will get a lesson off mayweather, loadsa respect for Sergio but mayweather is to good, be a better fight than pacman though, may will make pacman look silly!!!!! Countering his silly off the feet attacks!! Disagree if u like, I’d like to hear your opinions, that’s mine and I seriously think it will be the case,, anyway,, do ya sentence lol! 90 days!!! I’d do that in the prison bus lol!!

  3. Wow, I don’t think he’ll serve the full 90 days but I didn’t even expect him to get any jail time that’s a bit of a shock.

  4. He won’t serve any time, he’s got money and that tends to keep a lot of the rich out of the trouble a normal guy doing the same things would face. Anyway though if the Pacquiao talks fail (I anticipate they will) I heard that the Mayweather camp is considering Sergio Martinez as the replacement if this is true then I will have much more respect for Mayweather over Manny Pacquiao I honestly think Martinez is the bigger threat without the same pay off that fighting Manny Pacquiao would have but in the eyes of real fans we’ll know that Mayweather is willing to step in with the most avoided fighter in the sport today and I can certainly respect that. Don’t get it wrong by calling me a Mayweather fan i’m no fan of his nor am I one of Pacquiao. I honestly like Martinez more then either of them and I like his chances if he lands the fight with Mayweather.
