Legendary trainer Emanuel Steward has passed away earlier today. He was 68-years-old. He was hospitalized in Chicago in September and underwent surgery for what his sister called diverticulitis, a stomach disorder and had been hospitalized since.
Steward was known for training Tommy Hearns, Lennox Lewis, Wladimir Klitschko, Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Andy Lee and several other well known fighters.
Klitschko said in a statement today: “Boxing has suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of Emanuel Steward.”
The boxing world has lots another great man. R.I.P Emanuel Steward.
