There are rumors that Top Rank is trying to put together a bout between the WBC lightweight champion in recess Edwin Valero (27-0, 27KO) and American contender Lamont Peterson (27-1, 13KO) for June in a venue to be determined.
If the fight is made, it will be in the 140 lbs. division. The chances of the bout coming to fruition are great since Top Rank promotes both fighters. It is still a question if the fight can be made in the United States since the Venezuelan Valero does not have an American visa and as of the moment, is not allowed into the country.
well lamont is fighting fuller in april so why dont we see valero against the likes of bradley in june. that would be a nice fight. or if bradley is to big of a name why not juan diaz. now these are gd fights

Ya know… I DOUBT and honestly find it hard to believe that Valero’s peeps will REALLY and ACTUALLY want to make this fight. I’ll believe it when I see them both in the ring.
Bob Arum should make this the undercard to the Cotto fight…and finally give us a decent card to watch….get the man a visa already
