Don’t forget this Saturday on HBO, Boxing After Dark Marcos “Chino” Maidana (27-1, 26Kos) will make his second defense of his interim WBA junior welterweight crown as he takes on unbeaten Dominican Republic start Victor Cayo (24-0, 16KOs) in the 12-round main event of a world championship doubleheader from the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
The co-featured bout, unbeaten former two-division world champion Joan Guzman (29-0-1, 17KOs) will take on South African stalwart Ali Funeka (30-2-3, 25KOs) as they fight for the vacant IBF lightweight championship in a rematch of their exciting 2009 draw.
This should be interesting night of boxing, but I think Maidana will KO his opponent in the late rounds and Guzman will take a split decision.
