According to numerous reports in Mexico, the upcoming battle of lightweight contenders, Antonio DeMarco (21-1 15KO’s) vs. Anges Adjaho (25-1, 14KO’s) has been set as a mandatory WBC eliminator. The winner will get an opportunity to face knockout artist WBC Champion Edwin Valero.
Antonio DeMarco has stormed the boxing scene, fighting and winning nine times in just two years. Residing and training in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, DeMarco has repeatedly proven that he deserves to be a top contender. Most recently, on Sept. 5, 2008, DeMarco won a 10-round split decision over the more experienced Jose Reyes. Eight months earlier DeMarco dazzled fans by scoring an impressive 10-round unanimous decision over fellow-prospect Nick Casal.
DeMarco-Adjaho will be the Showtime co-feature event for Vic Darchinyan vs. Joseph Agbeko at the Bank Atlantic Center, Sunrise Florida who are schedule to collied on Saturday, July 11.
What happen with this one? I thought they were going to make this happen if DeMarco would win his last fight and he did…..
