Thompson Boxing Closes Out 2021

Thompson Boxing Promotions (TBP) will close out the year with their December 17 “Path to Glory” card at the DoubleTree Hotel in Ontario, Calif.

A battle between Saul “The Beast” Sanchez and Jose “Hollywood” Estrella headline the show. Ruben “Ace” Torres versus Francisco “La Roca” Armenta is on tap as the co-main and a bout between Brandon Benitez and Anthony Chavez will also be featured in the event.

Founder/President Ken Thompson and General Manager Alex Camponovo have been hosting crowd-pleasing fights and competitive matchups since the company was first launched in 2000.

While the COVID-19 and the global pandemic temporarily halted the sport of live boxing for everyone, Thompson Boxing was able to host their special 3.2.1 Boxing series at the Omega Products International Event Center in Corona, Calif. (without any audience in attendance due to the state guidelines at the time).

But on October 22, the promotional company held their very first show–since the pandemic–with spectators allowed back in the venue (with COVID-19 city rules enforced) at Ontario’s DoubleTree. It was a celebratory night as fight fans filled the ballroom with everybody excited to be back watching local fights together. The “New Blood” card was a big hit with Miguel “El Explosivo” Madueño winning by knockout over Jose Luis Rodriguez in the main event.

Ken Thompson greeted guests at the door and also showed everyone their brand new mobile app which was unveiled during this October 22 fight night. Special guests at the show included prizefighters Saul Sanchez, Ruben Torres, Richard Brewart Jr., Paul Banke, Sindy Amador, and more.

These Friday night fights are always popular with boxing fans watching in person or through their live streams. TBP’s stable of young champs, contenders and prospects continues to grow and flourish and these Southern California shows are the perfect way to catch rising stars in action.

And on Friday, December 17, watch the fighters go toe to toe on their “Path to Glory”!
