Vitali Klitschko (44-2, 40 KOs) successful defended his WBC heavyweight title in a twelve round unanimous decision over Dereck Chisora (15-3, 9 KOs) on Saturday night at the Olympiahalle in Munich, Germany. Scores were 118-110, 118-110, and 119-111.
The British fighter, Chisora is noting but trouble. Chisora first slapped Vitali during the weight-in which the WBC boxing board fined Chisora $50,000 for the incident if that wasn’t enough he spit at Klitschko’s younger brother, Wladimir in the face while in the ring.
But the drama gets juicier. During the postfight news conference Chisora continue to loud mouth the Klitschko brothers before former WBA champion David Haye showed up to the post fight.
Chisora taunted Haye about losing the WBA belt to Wladimir, last July, leading to a heated exchange before Haye broke a bottle on Chisora head and they came to blows.
“I swear to God, David, I am going to shoot you. I am going to shoot you. I am going to physically shoot David Haye,” Chisora was heard yelling as he claimed that Haye hit him with a glass.
Chisora and his coach, Don Charles, were held by police the Munich airport Sunday and where taken into the police headquarters for questioning. The police were still looking for Haye, who wasn’t at his hotel.
Sad thing is this is the best action I’ve see in the HW division in a long time lol.
I was wondering what he meant when he kept saying ” he glossed me “. Now I know.
Haye and Chisora are both clowns, but it would make for an interesting fight in the stale HW division. Nothing I’d pay for but wouldn’t mind watching it free. There was no need for him to spit in the face of Wlad though a bit uncalled for, Chisora is a jackass just trying to stay relevant despite the lack of serious talent.
