Manny Pacquiao of the Philippines smiles in the ring after the final bell against Joshua Clottey of Ghana during the WBO welterweight title fight at Cowboys Stadium on March 13, 2010 in Arlington, Texas. Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 KOs) scored a one-sided twelve round unanimous decision. Scores were 120-108, 119-109, and 119-109.
In front of almost 51,000 boxing fans Joshua Clottey (35-4, 20 KOs) just couldn’t take a chance and he spend 12 rounds covering up as Pacquiao constantly landed from every angle. Clottey made this fight very boring it seem he was more interested in surviving than winning the truth is Clottey is not near Pacquiao’s league.
What’s next for Pacquiao? Well, Mayweather is set to fight Shane Mosley on May 1 in Las Vegas, and if he gets through that, there is no question he’s the only one out there the public believes can challenge Pacman.

WBC 130lb champion Humberto Soto (51-7-2, 32 KOs) won a twelve round unanimous decision over David Diaz (35-3-1, 17 KOs) taking the vacant WBC lightweight title which use to be Edwin Valeros. Score 115-111, 117-109 and 117-109.
In a welterweight clash, former “Contender” TV star Alfonso Gomez (22-4-2, 11 KOs) won by TKO over two-time former WBC lightweight champion Jose Luis Castillo (60-10-1, 52 KOs) when Castillo remained on his stool at the end of round five.
I’sorry that mentioned Clottey’s name instead of Cotto who was TKO’d. I won’t believe what Clottey said that he didn’t feel the power of Manny’ s
punches. Why is he covering his face from the very beginning til the last round & do you believe him? You must be crazy, guy…
I’m just wondering that guy who commented agaisnt Manny;s fights . I’m sure he will have some comment of dela Hoya’s TKO,Hatton’s KO in the very early round & Clottey’s TKO. Excluding his fights against Diaz, Barrera & Morales. That guy’s comment is very very very BIASED, because he only mention Marquez as having a good fight against Manny. Manny is not as coward as you & your boxer, who made excuses
My question to you is:—why didn’t he require that kind of testing all of his fight before & after he retire against Marquez? I know you like to watch Boxing. Why did Flloyd Jr make his own rule when if all the in the USA is not requiring it.
Pleasae respond to my querry
everybody knew clottey (the human punching bag) wasnt gonna do nothin against pacman. i wasnt surprised at all. manny called mayweather out like it was mayweathers fault for the fight not happening. he wants to fight mayweather he will take the test like mosley is doing. by the way, mosley is much more dangeriouse, quicker, and he fights back. thats a great fight. mayweather picked a strong guy while pacman picked clottey the bag.
because I love boxing
Manny can’t handle a rugged guys .he was surprise that he wasn’t able to ko Clottey
Why did you waste your time watching the fight if you were saying you would never pay for a Pacquiao fight?
Pacquiao did what he had to do and Clottey was afraid to get KO, his corner was telling him “trow punches” and he was saying NO NO, lol.
it’s really funny thing that all manny’s punches did hurt Clotty or leave a scar instead clottey damaged manny’s face .hehehe
Clottey said that he didn’t feel the power of manny’s punches .
ok now I really need to opine ,we all new that this fight was a preposterous .we all said it and it’s not a rocket science Manny beat cotto and coto beat clottey so why did Arum think that manny fighting clottey is an interesting fight .Manny is really protected by his promoter and I am going to say it again all of manny’s fights are
HAND PICKED and he didn’t want to fight an offensive fighters and good counter punchers like Marquez who pummeled Manny’s face in both fights .
I want see manny fights guys like Mosely,Valero
Manny should stop being a coward and start fighting aggressive fighters .
Buying the fight on pay-per view wasn’t worth it
specially the under card fights .I was dozing off seriously .what kind of fighters will go in the ring
and don’t fight .
no wonder that boxing is a dead sport .
