Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will climb in the ring once again on July 25th in either Acapulco or Cancun according to Fernando Beltran of Zanfer Promotions who mentioned that they are in search of a high caliber opponent for the Son of a Legend. He also added that talks are still ongoing for a Chavez Jr-Pacquiao bout before the end of the year.
“We are in constant contact with Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. since it is he who has the last word. If he agrees, a bout with Pacquiao can be made for the month of November in Las Vegas.”
“We are discussing the weight but we have to agree to it, more than likely no more than 150 lbs. because we have to take care of Julito,”
Beltran stated. “If Pacquiao doesn’t accept the fight in the weight that we ask for, then there is no fight.”
Beltran announced that Julio Jr. and his brother Omar will now be trained by their father JC Chavez.
“Pacquiao might see a fight against Julito like a paid sparring session but we see it as a great opportunity that must be taken advantage of.
We are convinced that Julito can win the fight,” Beltran said yesterday. “Pacquiao can be hurt from a bigger opponent. When he feels the punches, he lifts his arms like he did against Erik Morales and Hatton. Erik Morales and Juan Manuel Marquez already proved that he can be defeated and Julito is a big fighter, of quality and he can defeat him, remember that.”

Who cares about this kid……When is he going to start fighting some real opponents. The thought of him putting him in the ring with Manny would be suicide. To be honest, don’t think they are managing him well and not being honest with them selves neither. How long can you have this kid fight bums? They need to stop hyping him up, because he hasn’t beat any real opponents. Stop this fantasy…..LOL
i think chavez could win if used is jab more often is he would be to strong for manny.his jab would be strong compare to manny’s and he has a very good reach advantage i don’t think chavez has ever face a oponnent as small as manny.i would say chavez thakes this one.chavez is just too big and strong for manny.

Chingon Manny will not beat Mosley it won’t happen but I agree with you on that one he should fight him next but not before he fights Mayweather. because the value of the fight will go down. Heres why Mosley in my mind will beat Pacquaio anybody who is a true fan will agree maybe some might not. Heres what I think Manny should have another tune up fight at 147. He beat Dela hoya there why can’t he go up there again.

Instead of boxing against 2nd tier boxers. Pacquiao should start fighting the elite of the sport. Boxers like Cotto, Mosley, Mayweather or even a rematch with Marquez.
