untitled“Let them give me the day and the month, let’s negotiate the purse and I would be more than happy to go to Dublin, Ireland, to administer a beating to Bernard Dunne,” the super champion of the WBA and the IBF Celestino Caballero stated yesterday according to the Panamanian website PA-Digital.com.pa.  Caballero did not hide his sorrow for the loss of his friend Ricardo “Maestrito” Cordoba, this last Saturday night at the hands of the Irish Dunne.

“I would like to fight Dunne to avenge the loss of my friend Ricardo Cordoba.  I would like to be the first Panamanian fighter to beat an irish one in a world title fight,” Caballero added who on April 24th will defending his title at the inaguaration of the new arena Roberto “Mano de Piedra” Duran against the South African Jeffrey Mathebula (22-1-2, 12KO).

“In the fifth round, Cordoba sent the Irishman twice to the canvas but he wasn’t able to finish him off.  In that round, ‘Maestrito’ deployed his whole arsenal and didn’t have any strenght for the rest of the fight,” the 32 year old fighter explained.
