Manny Pacquiao is getting ready for the Bahamas!

Manny Pacquiao is being eyed to set up training camp inmannypacquiao the Bahamas, the Manila Bulletin reported in its July 29 issue. Top Rank chief Bob Arum told the paper that owing to an IRS regulation called the Substantial Presence Test, Pacquiao has to spend the first four weeks of training outside the US. Arum has informed trainer Freddie Roach about the situation and Roach has even sought the help of this writer to call the Filipino boxer’s attention since he hasn’t spoken with his favorite puncher in weeks. (The message has been forwarded to Team Pacquiao). Roach said he prefers the Bahamas over a training stint in the Philippines because of distractions.
