It’s time for the 3rd Annual “Boxing Superstars Meet & Greet” at Pico Park in Pico Rivera, Calif.

This event (FREE to the community) is a highly-anticipated event for SoCal fight fans. I’ve attended past events and I have no doubt this year’s boxing bash will be another entertaining gathering with current and past champions, up-and-comers, amateur stars, Mayor Gustavo Camacho, city officials and special surprise guests.

The fiesta will take place THIS Saturday, January 26, hosted by the City of Pico Rivera, he Department of Parks and Recreation, Efrain Lee (Special Events Coordinator) and Robb Gomez. The best part of this affair is that the city is offering FREE admission, FREE parking and a FREE prize raffle for the attendees (must be present to win).

Show runners Efrain and Robb are looking forward to Saturday night; the two have watched their co-promotion really grow through its inception. Here is an exclusive sneak peek at the warriors planning on joining the big boxing bash.

And who are some of the famous faces boxing fans can meet at this weekend’s “Boxing Superstars Meet & Greet” ROUND 3?

The “Chatter Box” touched base with the show promoters to hear all the exciting guests lined up to 2attend.

Lee and Gomez have compiled a knockout list of champions planning to attend including current fighters ALFONSO GOMEZ, MIA ST. JOHN, DANIEL PONCE DE LEON, GIOVANI SEGURA, EFRAIN ESQUIVIAS, MIGUEL VAZQUEZ, CHARLES MARTIN, GEORGE FAAVAE, WALTER SARNOI, and former boxers/champs BOBBY CHACON, PAUL GONZALES, MANDO MUNIZ, OSCAR MUNIZ, JOHN MONTES JR., ART FRIAS, HASSAN CHITSAZ AND MORE.

It’s your chance to see a shiny championship belts up close with these SoCal prizefighters who are all coming out to support this community event.. There will also be boxing demos, an exciting display by the legendary glove manufacturer CLETO REYES, a special exhibit of boxing bronzes by trainer/artist Steve Harpst, a chance to meet with the singer/group members of the popular band Hy3rid and much, much more.

The celebrities will each have their own booth where fans can receive a photo or an autograph. Guests can also shop for boxing equipment and gear at vendor tables. And the prize raffle will include autographed gloves from Cleto Reyes that Efrain says will be signed by the champs at this Pico Park gala.

Efrain Lee is appreciative of all the support from the surrounding areas. “The radio station Hot 92.3 has announced it on the air,” he tells me. “We’ve had a great response and we’re happy we can offer this as a free event for the families. I want everyone to enjoy an evening with local legends–it’s a chance for fans of all ages to meet their heroes!”1

Both Lee and Gomez say it is a unique event and with a boxing environment with an added draw of an impromptu reunion between the fighters themselves.

This year’s function will be their third time hosting the meet-and-greet.

Efrain and I came up with this idea to raise awareness about boxing,” Robb explains of the show’s origin. “It’s been a great collaboration, a fun night for the fans and a way to honor the fighters too.”

If you’d like to meet the champs, head on out to the City of Pico Rivera THIS Saturday!
