A 62-year-old ban on professional boxing in the City of Glendale, California will become history on Friday, June 12th, 2009 when Art of Boxing Promotions, in association with Bash Boxing, presents “Glendale Glory” at the Glendale Civic Auditorium.

In 1947, the sport of boxing was banned as “unwholesome” entertainment in the City of Glendale.  For over 62 years, Section 5.32 of the Glendale Municipal Code banned professional boxing matches within the entire City of Glendale.  But on March 17, 2009, the Glendale City Council voted to temporarily lift the boxing ban and for the first time in over 60 years, fans of Glendale can see tomorrow’s boxing stars on June 12th!

23-year-old Heavyweight prospect Andrey “The Russian Bear” Fedosov (19-1, 15 KOs) will attempt to capture the WBC Youth Intercontinental title against 27-year-old Galen Brown (32-11, 19 KOs) in the main event of the historic “Glendale Glory” card.  Fedosov, the former Russian heavyweight champion, recently signed with Bash Boxing and has been training in Los Angeles at Freddie Roach’s Wildcard Boxing Club.

Other bouts scheduled to appear on the card:

Light heavyweight:  Anatoly Dudchenko vs. Terrence Smith – 6 rounds
Super featherweight:  Gabriel Tolmajyan vs. Hugo Ramos – 4 rounds
Welterweight:  Max Skayzer vs. Anthony Martinez – 6 rounds
Heavyweight:  Lateef Kayode vs. Francisco Mireles – 6 rounds
Junior welterweight:  Art Hovhannesyan vs. Daniel Gonzalez – 6 rounds
