Marco Antonio Barrera accepts that in his last two fights the results were not what he expected. In both contests, the first against Freudis Rojas in Guadalajara, MX and the second against Amir Khan in Manchester, England, nothing went his way since he suffered cuts because of head butts in both bouts.
Against Rojas his hand was raised by technical decision. With Khan, he lost the bout via the same way.
Nevertheless, Barrera does not quit. According to Ernesto Castellanos of Esto, com.mx, Marco was back in Guadalajara last week from Manchester to rest and to heal.
Now Barrera must wait for his next great fight, the one where he can take the first step forward towards his run for the lightweight title, which would be the fourth in as many divisions in his illustrious career.
Barrera stated that after his well deserved rest he will get together with his promoter Don King in Miami to plan out his next move.
