“Crazy A” Fights Friday, July 9!

Azat “Crazy A” Hovhannisyan is scheduled to fight THIS Friday, July 9 on the undercard of the Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez vs. Sullivan Barrera card at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles. It is a stacked card and promises to be an exciting night of action.
A local boxing club in L.A. recently ran into the prizefighter while running at Griffith Park. The super bantamweight (19-3, 16 KOs) made his professional debut in 2011 and offered words of encouragement for the amateurs in the Burbank Boxing Club.
Amateur boxer Miguel Malonzo fights at the same weight as Azat and enjoyed talking boxing with the pro and former champ who held the World Boxing Council Continental Americas Super Bantamweight title in 2017-2018.
Born in Yerevan, Armenia, “Crazy A” now makes L.A. his home. He is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and currently trains with Robert Garcia. The slugger has fought the likes of Rey Vargas and Ronny Rios and on Friday he will face Jose Santos Gonzalez (23-8-1, 13 KOs). Fight fans can catch the fights live in person or stream on DAZN.
The club enjoyed meeting the puncher as he took some photos with Coach Steve Harpst and the group.
Now that vaccines are here and USA Boxing is opening back up in Southern California, the young athletes are all looking forward to getting back in the ring. And they had a blast meeting “Crazy A” during their workout!
