By Gabriel F. Cordero: Edgar Sosa will defend his WBC miniumweight world title on March 28th against an opponent to be named. The bout will take place in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico. “The event will take place in my hometown and Sosa will be facing a rival to be selected in the next few days that will be Japanese or Filipino,” said WBC President Jose Sulaiman. The site of the fight will be a gymnasium with a capacity for six thousand people. The card will also include fights for regional titles, as well as a women’s world title fight.

“March is a very loaded month for boxing,” commented Sulaiman. “On March 12 Oscar Larios will defend his featherweight title against Takahiro Aoh. Then comes the fight of Antonio Pitalúa against Edwin Valero, which could be in Cancun, Playa del Carmen or some others. We have goal to stage some twelve world title fights in Mexico this year.”
On that picture Nikolai looks like he’s doing more that what he did against Holyfield lol.
