Champs Attend Vegas Events
The month of August has become synonymous with the Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame’s (NVBHOF) star-studded induction weekend.
And this year, the Class of 2023 and 2024 were ushered into the history books as the NVBHOF held multiple events over three days in Las Vegas. All of the gatherings were held at The Orleans Hotel & Casino (where many prizefights have taken place over the decades).
On August 8, there was a private party for the Inductees and VIPs. The NVBHOF’s Rich Marotta, Michelle Corrales-Lewis and Anthony Randolph greeted all the guests as they 
streamed in. Many of the new inductees, past honorees, sponsors, boxing family and more joined the festivities held at the Bailiwick Gastropub. It was a nice casual affair where the fighters could shoot pool, grab some delicious appetizers and drinks, mingle with their fellow champions and introduce their families to former rivals, stablemates and more.

This fun outing was hosted by the NVBHOF and champion and NVBHOF inductee Zab Judah . The celeb bowlers, participants, spectators and fans enjoyed pizza and beer as the champions fought for bragging rights in the lanes!
Spotted in the crowd during the back to back nights were Jorge Arce, Michael Nunn, Vinny Paz, Lamon Brewster, Layla McCarter, Marvin Camel, Winky Wright, Yoka Valle, Victor Terrazas, Paul Banke, Stitch Duran, Rafael Marquez, Donald Curry, Jessie Vargas, Wayne McCullough, Hasim Rahman, Nonito Donaire, Demarcus Corley, Ronald Gavril, Al Bernstein, Lisa King, and many more.Both nights were a great one-two punch to get everyone even more excited for the August 10 awards gala. There was also the first-ever Diego Corrales Classic amateur boxing show taking place on Saturday afternoon. More on these events in future columns!
August is known for sizzling summer nights and the NVBHOF rocked the house with this year’s prelim parties!
