Friday night’s cards offered seven exciting matchups

The very first All Star Boxing show of 2009 got off to an explosive start at last night’s “Battle of the Rising Stars.” The card featured seven action-packed bouts in front of a packed crowd at the Quiet Cannon in Montebello, California.

Results from last night’s show:

Bout 1  6 Rounds FeatherweightsJESUS HERNANDEZ  7-0 vs. MANUEL SARABIA 16-27″Pollo” Hernandez wins by UD 60-54 over tough veteran Sarabia. 

Bout 2  4 Rounds Super MiddleweightsTYRELL HENDRIX 1-0 vs. RYAN DAVIS 0-2Hendrix gets the victory by UD 40-36, 39-37, 39-37. 

Bout 3  4 Rounds MiddeweightsELLIOT SEYMOUR 0-1 vs. JOHN DUNHAM 0-3Seymour scores TKO over Dunham in fourth round. 

Bout 4 8 Rounds Super Middleweight Main EventFERNANDO ZUNIGA 27-9 vs. DANNY STANISLAVJEVIC 8-14-3Zuniga gets the decision over the scrappy Stanislavjevic 80-72 UD.

Bout 54 Rounds HeavyweightsJOEY HANKS 4-0 vs. SHEDEVIN BROWN 2-4Prospect Hanks beats the entertaining Brown 39-37, 40,36, 40-36.

Bout 6 4 Rounds Jr. FeatherweightsHUGO RAMOS (Debut) vs. JOSE PACHECO 0-4-5Ramos stops Pacheco in a non-stop flurry punches to score a TKO in the first round. 

Bout 7  4 Rounds HeavyweightsSETH COLBROOK (Debut) vs. MIKE FINNEY 1-3Colbrook finally stopped Finney with a TKO in the second round of this crazy slugfest.
