On Saturday night, The World Boxing Council (WBC) Legends of Boxing Museum hosted a benefit dinner for Genaro Hernandez. “Chicanito” who is currently battling his biggest foe ever-a rare and aggressive form of cancer Hernandez was diagnosed with just three months ago.

I had the opportunity to be present at this event. I was very happy to see the outcome of support. My family and I will pray for Genaro not only because he is a champion but also because his grandfather Genaro and my grandfather Antonio happen to be brothers or first cousins so that kind of makes us distant cousins. All of the Hernandez family and I are wishing him and his family the best. God Bless!
raymond–thank you for such great photos of such a historic night. edgar–thanks for your championship support 🙂 michele
I can’t even began to imagine what Chicanito and anyone with cancer must be going through, I really hope he can win this battle and he should know there are a lot of people rooting for him!
I wish him the best!
