Juan Manuel Marquez will be returning to the ring on April 21 against Argentina’s Cesar Cuenca in Mexico City. Rumor is that he was going to fight former David Diaz, but Diaz dint want to fight Marquez and Diaz is thinking about retirement.
Antonio DeMarco is returning to the ring in March, the WBC granted DeMarco the opportunity to make a voluntary defense before a rematch with Jorge Linares is set. DeMarco will fight in March his opponent hasn’t been release, but his bout will take place in Los Mochis, MX. Televisa will televise the event. More details coming soon.
WBO bantamweight champion Jorge “Travieso” Arce takes on Lorenzo “Lencho” Parra on Saturday in a non-title ten-rounder at the Auditorio del Estado in Mexicali, BC.
Australia’s Michael Katsidis is moving up to junior welterweight and scheduled to headline a “Friday Night Fights” card (ESPN2/ESPN3) against Albert Mensah at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas on April 13.
DeMarco is bad ass. His also a nice humble quit dude. We have been his PR for some time that’s how I met him.
Don’t know much of Marquez’ new opponent but it would be great to see him back in the ring. I can’t wait to see DeMarco back in action either.
