Three-time world champion Juan Manuel Marquez held a public workout in Cancun where he will fight this Saturday, July 16 against Likar Ramos. Marquez is schedule to take on Manny Pacquiao on November 12, 2011 at the MGM grand, Las Vegas.
“It has been 17 years since I fought in Mexico and I am looking forward to this fight Saturday night here in Cancun,” said Marquez.
For Marquez brother, Rafael Marquez, who is also fighting on the same card will face Eduardo Becerril (12-7-2, 4 KOs) who replace the Nicaraguan Eusebio Osejo. If Marquez wins he will fight the WBC super bantamweight title against Japanese champion Toshiaki Nishioka in October or November.
The event is being organized by Zanfer Promotions and it will take place at the laza de Toros in Cancun.
