Heavyweight contender Cristobal Arreola (32-2, 28 KOs), 30, of Riverside, Calif., will once again jump in the ring for his fourth fight of the year. Areola fought twice in the span of 13 days last month. First, he knocked out Nagy Aguilera in the third round May 14 on the undercard of the Andre Ward-Arthur Abraham and on May 27, he returned to stop Kendrick Releford in the seventh round in an ESPN2 “Friday Night Fights” also scored a first-round knockout of Joey Abell in a January.
Arreola will face Las Vegas-based Nigeria native Friday Ahunanya (24-7-3, 13 KOs) in a scheduled 10-round bout. It will take place on the undercard of the Paul Williams-Erislandy Lara junior middleweight bout, which headlines an HBO “Boxing After Dark” card on July 9 in Atlantic City, N.J.
Michael Katsidis is also back in action.
The Australian brawler, Michael Katsidis will move up to (140lbs) junior welterweight to face Michael Lozada on August 13 at the Gold Coast Convention Center in Broadbeach, Australia. Katsidis was supposed to fight Graham Earl, but that fight fell apart due to contractual issues.
Lozada (30-8-1, 30 KOs), 27, of Mexico, is 2-2 in his last four bouts, including a sixth-round knockout loss to former junior welterweight titlist Paulie Malignaggi, who faced him at welterweight.
Rumor is if Katsidis is able to defeat Lozada he will fight 34-year-old Mexican ledged, Erik Morales. The 30-year-old Katsidis (27-4, 22 KOs) and Morales are both with Golden Boy Promotions, likely making it an easy fight to put together.

I agree too
Yes, I agree he should fight better opposition now. I’m glad to see that he trains well enough to loose all that weight. I hope he doesn’t rebound.
Arreola needs to stop fighting these cans already, and at least fight somebody with a descent name.
