A UK tabloid, Daily Mail, broke the news about Amir Khan having an fair with Katie Price wife of cage fighter, Alex Reid. Reid, 35, was furious after the glamour model was photographed on several occasions with the world champion, 24.
Katie Price’s friendship with Amir Khan has been the cause of her 11-month marriage issues with husband Alex Reid. A friend of Reid told The Sun: ‘He feels blown apart. The breaking point for Alex came when he saw stories about Katie and Amir Khan.
Price first met Khan back in September 2009, when they filmed game show Scream If You Know The Answer, which was broadcast on the Watch channel last April.
Last August, Price and Khan were spotted chatting closely together at The Expendables premiere after-party at Planet Hollywood in London.
At the time, her spokesperson said they were ‘just friends’, adding, ‘they know each other through work and get on very well’.
And last month, Price went to cheer on Khan as he defended his title against Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas.
Amir Khan should have known better than to mess around with someone’s wife, but I can’t blame him. I have to blame her.
